At St. Mary of the Angels School, every month we focus on a virtue that helps our students grow not only in knowledge, but in character and holiness. This April, our community is embracing the virtue of Loyalty—a powerful reminder of the faithfulness God shows to us, and the fidelity we’re called to show in return.
🔑 What Is Loyalty?
Loyalty is more than just standing by someone’s side—it’s a deep and lasting commitment. It means being true to our family, our friends, our faith, and our principles, even when it’s hard. It means showing up, sticking together, and defending what is right.
In the words of Scripture:
“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” — Proverbs 17:17
Just like Jesus remained loyal to His mission and His people—even to the cross—we are called to stand with one another with courage, trust, and love.
🏫 Loyalty at SMA
At SMA, loyalty lives in our classrooms, our friendships, and our shared commitment to faith and family. This month, students will reflect on:
- Being faithful friends who support one another in both joy and struggle
- Honoring their commitments—to schoolwork, their teams, and their responsibilities
- Standing up for what is right, even when it isn’t popular
- Remaining devoted to God, family, and community
Through classroom activities, morning announcements, and faith-based discussions, our students learn that loyalty is not passive—it’s an active choice to love, trust, and stay committed.
