National Fund for Sacred Spaces Recipient
St Mary of the Angels has received $250,000 from the National Fund for Sacred Spaces, a program of Partners for Sacred Places in collaboration with the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
This funding will go to support the flat roof replacement of the church, which was installed in 1992-93. St Mary of the Angels is one of 30 organizations to receive a total of over $9.1 million in grant funding that provides training, planning grants, technical assistance, capacity-building support, and capital grants to congregations of all faiths.
Since its inception, the National Fund has awarded or pledged over $42 million to 197 community-serving congregations representing 29 faith traditions across 46 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
